Alfred is a visionary leader with a deep passion for diagnosing and addressing leadership and management challenges, expertly guiding organizations toward their ideal future. Known for his exceptional ability to simplify complex issues into manageable solutions, he brings clarity and direction to each engagement.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, Alfred holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is also a Certified Entrepreneur Trainer and Consultant with Regent University, a Certified Financial Trainer (Mango, UK), a Certified Presenter and Facilitator (KPMG South Africa), and a member of the League of East African Directors (LEAD).

Alfred chairs the boards of an environmental consulting firm, a microfinance institution, and a design company. He serves as Vice Chair of a multipurpose cooperative and chairs the Board Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee of a media group. His previous board leadership roles include serving as Board Chair for a condominium estate, an audio engineering firm, a charity supporting children affected by HIV/AIDS, an advertising agency, an international school, an investment group, and the ACCA Uganda Members’ Panel.

Alfred began his 22-year career at KPMG Uganda as an External Auditor. He then joined ACLAIM Africa Limited, where, as Head of the Financial Consultancy & Training Department, he led teams in building and strengthening financial management systems for clients. Alfred later became Country Planning Manager (Uganda) at Coca-Cola, where he oversaw the planning processes and led a team responsible for aligning operations with overall strategy. Returning to KPMG Uganda, he led the Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Services division.

Alfred went on to establish SMART Consult (U) Limited, successfully delivering management consultancy and training across 22 countries on four continents until merging its operations with ACLAIM Africa Limited, expanding the service reach to an additional nine countries across two more continents.

Alfred brings extensive experience in training, consulting, and outsourced services across leadership, governance, finance, strategy, risk, audit, management, business modeling, human resources, procurement management, and fiscal hosting. His expertise spans diverse client segments, including donors, NGOs, businesses, universities and research institutes, government agencies, and cooperatives.
