The ACLAIM risk-based internal audit processes typically include:
- A comprehensive risk assessment that serves as the precursor for the development of a detailed Risk Based Internal Audit Plan in order to focus Internal Audit activities on the areas identified as “high” and “medium” risk.;
- Process analysis;
- Controls and Substantive Testing of key processes;
- Provision of an internal audit report including the findings, criteria, implication, root causes, and our recommendations.
- Follow-up support to ensure implementation of proposed recommendations.
