In a world where diverse representation in leadership remains a challenge particularly on Boards, ACLAIM Africa Limited was contracted by the International Consortium for Women Living with HIV – Asia Pacific (ICWAP) to deliver a tailored Board Orientation in December 2022.
Spanning nine countries; Thailand, Nepal, Malaysia, Australia, India, Republic of Fiji, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea, facilitated by ACLAIM in Uganda, this orientation brought together a uniquely diverse Board and management team.
Through a collaborative approach, we began with a technical and governance needs assessment, grounding the process in their institutional frameworks and real-time feedback.
The result? A dynamic three-day virtual training that equipped leaders with practical tools and critical insights in:
- Board roles and responsibilities
- Strategic planning and evaluation
- Financial oversight
- Risk management
- Inclusive governance practices
Despite geographical and linguistic barriers, participants engaged with openness and commitment, demonstrating that inclusive governance is not only possible but essential.
We thank International Consortium for Women Living with HIV – Asia Pacific (ICWAP) for their trust and vision.
At ACLAIM, we are proud to contribute to building more resilient, inclusive, and accountable Boards, addressing global gaps and strengthening governance where it matters most.
