Our Perspective

Every organisation sets out objectives to accomplish over a given period, the achievement of which is threatened by Risks. The Management of an organisation establishes various Internal Controls (processes, policies and procedures) to manage the identified Risks. The role of Internal Audit is therefore to provide an independent and objective opinion to governance and other stakeholders that the established Internal Controls are effective in managing the Risks to acceptable levels. In so doing, Internal Audit participates in not only preserving but also creating value for the organisation.

Our Approach

To enhance independent and objective assurance in reporting, the Internal Auditor should be outside the normal management hierarchy, ideally responsible to the Board Audit Committee.
